Watch Nick explain a little more about the Certificate IV in TESOL.
Certificate IV in TESOL
COURSE DESCRIPTION
International House was established in the UK back in 1954. It has over 50 schools in 30 countries proudly carrying the IH badge. International House is probably the world's leading English teacher training organisations with IH London, IH Barcelona and IH Sydney being the 3 biggest CELTA training centres.
Your certificate from Heartpower will carry the IH logo which is highly respected around the world.
International House collaborates closely with University of Cambridge to maintain the rigour of the CELTA programme and played a major role in the design of the new CELTA online course
Our Certificate IV in TESOL is offered throug.h IH Sydney and brings the experience of both UK and Australian teacher training styles. Our course is registered within the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and accredited by VETAB (NSW Government Vocational Educational and Training Accreditation Board), this Certificate IV in TESOL course has been developed specifically for people with a lower proficiency in English. It is a highly practical course which introduces you to current teaching methods, practical teaching ideas and a range of TESOL resources.
This is proving to be the most practical, hands on course in Singapore. Based on the CELTA, this Certificate IV has model English lessons everyday. These model lessons are what employers like about this course. Trainees work out of the New Cutting Edge (Upper Intermediate) for these model lessons and this gives trainees maximum exposure to working from a resource book. Trainees will gain confidence in adapting a commonly used resource material. Our Cert IV graduates have entered ESL classrooms in Singapore in 2010 ready to teach on day one.
