Certificate IV in TESOL
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Who is International House?
International House was established in the UK back in 1954. It has over 50 schools in 30 countries proudly carrying the IH badge. International House is the world's leading English teacher training organisations. Our Certificate IV in TESOL is offered through IH Sydney and is registered within the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and accredited by VETAB (NSW Government Vocational Educational and Training Accreditation Board).
Recognised by Australian Universities.
Many universities in Australia will offer holders of Certificate IV in TESOL credit towards study in TESOL related degree programmes. For example, graduates of the Certificate IV in TESOL can gain one subject credit towards further TESOL studies at the University of Canberra. Candidates must apply separately to the university
Schools in Singapore prefer Certificate IV in TESOL graduates.
This is proving to be the most practical, hands on course in Singapore. Based on the CELTA, this Certificate IV has model English lessons everyday. These model lessons are what employers like about this course. Trainees work out of the New Cutting Edge (Upper Intermediate) for these model lessons and this gives trainees maximum exposure to working from a resource book. Trainees will gain confidence in adapting a commonly used resource material. Our Cert IV graduates have entered classrooms in Singapore since 2010, ready to teach on day one.
